Hints
How To Drift Like A King
To drift like a king don't use hand brakes they will make you lose grip and thats not good and theres a huge chance you are gonna hit the wall so never use handbrake just slide trust me you will thank me.
Easy Drifting
Get the Mazda Miata MX-5, take manual and pick track number two. When you start, shift into 2nd gear and leave it there. You wont blow your engine, but you will get a lot of points to unlock stuff...have fun!!!
Easy Drift Points
Simply stay behind a car and watch the points rack up.
Easy Style Points
After you unlock the oval drift track, go into "Quick Race" and choose that track. Then, race around it using the handbrake to powerslide into the corners. Depending on how good you are, you will unlock rewards every time you fill your meter, which does not take too long. Go to quick race mode and choose any circuit. Set it to five laps with maximum cars on. Then, just get near misses in a row to get a large amount of points. Once your reputation goes up you can make 20,000 points in one go around.

Keep earning style points and eventually you will see a message appear after a race that says you have earned a certain vinyl. Usually each time u fill up the style points bar you will unlock a different vinyl. Other times you will unlock a car. I've already beat the game and the best way to get style points is to do DRIFTS!! They are super easy to win and get you LOTS of style points.
Buy 1 Get ALL Free
In Underground mode, as you win you unlock parts and other goodies. Everything you purchase in underground mode can be applied to any vehicle in the quick races mode (except to the cars you win).
Get On Magazine Cover #11 And #10
To get on magazine #10 you must do level 102. To get on cover #11 you must do level 112.
150 Free Pts
At the beginning of any race tap the R1 button to make smoke from nitrous & you will get 150 free pts. (NOTE: try not to hold the R1 button down for too long because you will lose a lot of nitrous. Try to just tap it because you will get the same amount of points no matter how much you use.)
Easy Drag Wins
Before taking off, make sure you have the red needle on the blue and for better take off on the green. After take off, Use your NOS after shifting to 3rd, but make sure your shiftings are perfect because it may not work. (Note don't use all NOS just to stay ahead of the others.)
Shoot Smoke From Nitrous
To make nitrous shoot out smoke, put your car in neutral, or at the beginning of the race press Nitrous.
Your First Car
In Need For Speed Career Mode, you will do a short race, once you win this race you will be asked "what is your car", it will go on to a screen with cars to choose from choose a better handling car first, then if you don't like the stle choose a different car with the same stats from your old car.
Increase Your Reputation
To get your reputation higher, then install the highest level visual upgrade on your car, not performance upgrade, as this will not increase your reputation (Most visual upgrades go up to level three). If you have up to level three front bumpers, for example, your reputation will go up higher if you install level three, not two or one.
See Where You Are Landing In Slow Motion
Pause the game when you are in the air in slow motion. Resume the game and you can see where you are going to land.
Unlock 10 New Rides
If you get up to 4 million style points, you will unlock 10 different cars including: Nism Nissan Sentra, Acura Integra Type-R, Petey Pablos car, Samanthas car, Rob Zombies car, Mystikals car, Lostprophets Nissan Skyline, Junkman's Honda Civic, Melissas Nissan 350Z, Eddies Nissan Skyline and a few more if you continue on to 5 million style points. The best way to get style points quickly, is to do a quick race drift. You will rack up points very quickly. Youll get everyones car from the rankings list.
Get Eddie's Nissan Skyline
Earn 3,000,000 style points to unlock Eddie's Nissan Skyline.
Shortcuts
Look for alternate routes on your in-game map while driving. These can get you ahead of an opponent easily or shave off seconds on your timer. They will look like another road on the map, but sometimes are narrower. Most of the time these shortcuts will be hard to see or take, and can be extremely risky.
Use Rims That Normally Will Not Fit
Certain cars can only fit so big of a rim. For example, the Miata can only fit 17s, but if you get a car like the Skyline put 20s on it and trade it in for the Miata. The Miata will now have the 20s that the Skyline had in it. Do not try to install any other rims on your new car because the rims will go back to the maximum sized allowed.
Shoot Smoke From Nitrous
